about

After three years of not releasing any new material, experimenting with new band members, Strangers on a Train return in the original line-up with a brand new single and an album on the way.

With musical inspiration gathered from Kurt Weill and his German cabaret universe and lyrical inspiration from all the evil that is going on in the world, Strangers On A Train once again takes the stage and invite you to dance to the music of the end of the world.

"Baby, I'm the Devil" is a perverted victory hymn sung by the Devil. It’s the end of the of the world, all hope is lost and the only thing left to do is to get shitfaced and stumble around in the mud with all the other sinners.

A danceable piece of blasphemy, a black metal song for fans of Friedrich Holländer, a nice little tune for the world's demise.

lyrics

Baby, I’m the Devil

by Strangers on a Train

I’ve dusted off my finest evening gown,
Shoed my hooves anew that I might shake the ground
Murdered all your birds
and wrote you pretty words
World of fire - here I am
Baby, I’m the devil

Oh, I’ve waited for so long to embrace you all
Now, my pretties, Hell will rise and Heaven fall
Never there’ll be dawn
I fucked the very sun
And your sire? - here I stand
Baby, I’m the Devil (x3)
This is your demise - this is my prime

Your populace will dwindle as my manhood swells
The dead - they sprout new heads
and feast upon themselves
All shall lose their bets
Your virginity’s in shreds
And your sire- here I stand
Baby, I’m the devil

My juices flood the world like a brackish lake
My devils duck you under as your spirits break
Choke on my victory
for all eternity
World of fire - here I am
Baby, I’m the Devil (x3)
And I’ve come for my prize at the end of all time

Baby, I’m the Devil (x3)
This is your demise - this is my prime
Baby, I’m the Devil (x3)
And I’ve come for my prize at the end of all time
